Kevin Brockhaus – our table football champion

My name is Kevin Brockhaus, I am 25 years old and joined the team of SK-Office Deutschland GmbH in 2019. I completed my training as an office management assistant in the IT sector and came here from another field. Alongside my work I am taking a distance-learning course funded by the company to qualify as a payroll accountant.

In my free time I pursue a number of activities. Music is always by my side – at home or on public transport it can never be missing. Then there is my most faithful companion of 18 years … football. I play football with real passion. It is there that I developed the qualities of ambition and teamwork that reflect me and my character quite well. Both on the pitch and at work I am not satisfied with less than 100%. Here at SKO I see exactly these traits in all my colleagues. The team chemistry is outstanding, which made my induction and my daily work far easier and continues to do so. We all know it: in a team that works you act more confidently, more helpfully and more kindly. Football has given me a lot for my career. So it is no surprise that during breaks I prove myself as the table football champion. But there are other sports that captivate me too: athletics, martial arts and ice hockey. Social contacts are also very important to me, which is why I very much enjoy meeting friends. In general I would describe myself as a friendly and polite person. I can be very entertaining and try to put a smile on the faces of those around me. On top of that I am a real family person, which is why I feel very much at home in the SKO family.

On the pandemic, first of all I would like to wish everyone good health and stamina. Stay healthy and take care of your loved ones.

The pandemic has been going on for quite some time. We are all suffering … whether mentally or physically. But during this time I have learned a great deal and, more importantly, come to appreciate a great deal. I became aware of how important time with the family really is – something one previously took for granted. Of course I miss many activities that are currently denied to us. This time has taught me that there are far more important things than the activities we miss, namely the health of our loved ones and of those around us. Please be patient a little longer. Together we will manage this … as a TEAM. I am sure that if we all pull together the pandemic will not stand a chance.
