How important it is to support social commitment and to contribute to a better society can be seen in FC Schalke 04's own foundation Schalke hilft!. Since 2008 it has been working for disadvantaged families, children and young people in and around the Ruhr area. Schalke hilft! focuses on talent development, equal opportunities and education. Its commitment against discrimination and for fairness and tolerance also deserves emphasis. SKO simply says “thumbs up!” and we are pleased to support the Schalke foundation's work with a donation of 2,500 euros and thereby contribute lastingly to helping those who do not have it so easy.
For us as a company it goes without saying that we are grateful for our success and therefore pass on a small part of it for a good cause. Last year, for example, SK-Office provided AWO Gelsenkirchen/Bottrop with new kit for the Come Together Cup, which the AWO team has worn ever since – including at the last CTC at Schalke. What was very amusing was that the real SKO team played in our kit against AWO in their SKO kit, and with so much SKO on the shirts people probably went on dreaming of our logo for days.
For us one thing is clear: SKO is and will remain involved when it comes to charitable commitment!
